Canister Vacuum Ratings

One of the most improved consumer products of late has been the vacuum cleaner, previously a standard upright design with a bag that held the dust yet now available as a variety of different designs, some of them supremely efficient, thanks to the advance in technology that we have seen.

We decided to look at a range of new models and consider canister vacuum ratings, for many people are finding the versatility of the canister design – smaller and more manoeuvrable than its upright cousin and yet often just as powerful – much more appropriate these days.

We began by looking at some of the best known brands in the business, the market leaders in modern style canister vacuum cleaners of the highest order, and we found a very diverse range of prices, capability and styles across the board.

Our first stop was Panasonic, one of the world’s biggest consumer electronics manufacturers and a company with a profile that is now a household name. Panasonic offers a range of excellent models of varying power, each with its own set of neat accessories and some with special tools for added power, and as with most products from this top notch maker the pricing structure is very good indeed; there is something here for every purse.

Next we took a look at the well known Dirt Devil range, a collection of high tech machines that are designed to be usable, lightweight and versatile while also durable and long lasting and again we found that the variety in the brand is enough to satisfy the needs of any potential buyer.

Our last port of call was with Eureka, perhaps not as well known a brand as the other two but a supplier of very high quality machines designed and made to the highest standards and well worth a look. We loved the innovative designs, the accessory sets and in particular the lightweight design of these models.

As a finale we took a brief look at bagless canister vacuum cleaners, perhaps the most innovative of the lot, and found that well known brands such as Hoover – the originator of the concept in fact – have a lot to offer in terms of technologically advanced cleaning machines.
