Dyson Canister Vacuum

If you are looking for a bagless canister vacuum that is very powerful, efficient on all types of flooring, compact for easy storage, and great at deep cleaning carpet pile - Dyson DC23 is the best choice. You will be amazed to see how much deep down filth like sand and grit it accumulates every time you vacuum. It is very efficient at cleaning both hard flooring and carpets, comes with a wonderful assortment of attachments for cleaning floors, carpets, and hard to reach areas, and its very compact for easy storage in small spaces.

It comes with a "Telescopic Wand" that extends to full length in less than a second for use with the Motorhead, or bare floor tool(s). The Motorhead power nozzle attachment is also pretty impressive with the way it moves easily on carpet, as well as with its aggressive brush roll that deep cleans carpets quite well.

Another key design element of the DC23 is the Level 3 Root Cyclone filtration system. Which performs brilliantly at separating dust, sand, and large debris from the airstream more efficiently than past iterations of Dyson cyclone technology.

There are a few minor issues that may not be a big deal for you.First the Motorhead is a powerful electrified device that generates extra noise in addition to the sound produced by the main vacuum motor. Second, some of the previously sold attachments, such as the old style "Turbine Hand Tool" will not work with this machine. Be sure to buy accessories specifically made for the DC23, because most of them on the market will not fit.

The build quality of this model is fabulous. It assembles and disassembles very easily. The canisters even come apart so you can rinse/wash them if you like.

Suction will get a A++ ratings from us. You will be amazed at the amount of dirt it sucks out from carpet, rugs and the likes.

The noise level is average, the hose could be a bit longer and it's a minor wrestling match to wrap the hose around it for storage.

Bottom line - it's a fabulous vacuum for an apartment or small to average size house (1500-1800 sq ft) with a mixture of floor types.
